Beatbox Champion!

Grace Savage

We’re really excited to welcome four-time UK Beatbox Champion to Wildlings - the multitalented Grace Savage! With a host of amazing vocal sounds in her bag, come and join in with Grace and some weird and wonderful beatbox noise making, and be wowed by her incredible vocal talents, humour and unique leftfield electro-pop!

Alim Kamara

Meet Alim Kamara, the international maestro who exudes a magical blend of tradition and modern flair, transforming him into the coolest storyteller. Alim does more than just tell stories. He’s a wizard who mixes adventures with success, perseverance, and resilience. Alim was born in the UK but spent his childhood in Sierra Leone listening to Djelis - legendary storytellers who knew how to sprinkle life lessons into stories like confetti. With number one singles in both Sierra Leone and Nigeria, his performances are like treasure hunts, where children discover tools to unleash their imagination and expressive personalities. Join Alim for a captivating show of inspiring stories, lyrics, rhythm and music.

Sara Colman

Fabulous Bristol-based singer-songwriter Sara Colman joins us for a fun-filled set of singing, music, laughter and inspiration. After performing at Glastonbury with Laura Mvula & Coldplay, it’s only natural she plays at Wildlings! Bring your ears and voices, smiles and spirit for an hour of beautiful singing, harmonies and feel-good new music - from Joni Mitchell and Paul Simon to the Incredibly Hungry Caterpillar!

Bostin Brass

One of Birmingham’s finest exports! Bostin Brass lead a special parade around the festival site where New Orleans meets Black Sabbath. The roaming party-starters, noise-makers and second-line soul-shakers play a captivating mix of New Orleans brass, jazz, funk, ska, metal and mischief. Later, have a go at playing one of their special pBuzz instruments - brassy noises galore!

Music with Maya

Join our very own Maya (who needs no introduction!) with her ever-popular interactive show for younger children, exploring a warm musical world of singing, stories and games. Start your Saturday with good vibes galore!

Jambarolo

A vibrant mix of Brazilian music, featuring a whole host of instruments and percussion, with an infectious fusion of Samba Pagode, 1950s/60s Ary Lobo, the dancing rhythms of Mestre Cupijo, and the sounds of Forró and Choro.

Ember Light Trio

Expect the unexpected with this vibrant trio born from contemporary folk band Bonfire Radicals! Discover more about their eclectic music and instruments with this family-friendly set, alongside a host of sounds and fun and games aplenty! With music and ceilidh dancing across two sets during the afternoon, they’ll get you dancing out of the tent!

Drums of the World

Join percussionist Pulkit Sharma on a guided journey through world percussion, from the simplest frame drum to the rhythms of the tabla. Try the instruments, discovering the stories and sounds behind each drum. Pulkit’s fascination with sound has led him to explore drumming traditions from across the globe: from West African djembes to Middle Eastern darbukas, from Latin American claves to the Indian khartaal.

Natalie Mason

Multi-instrumentalist and early years specialist Natalie Mason joins us on Sunday for a warm and interactive session of feel-good music for little ones. With Natalie’s background in multicultural music-making, alongside her viola, accordion and vocals, they’ll discover intriguing new sounds, voices and movements to familiar songs and tunes. A gentle and happy sunny Sunday!

Bring your favourite fairytale characters to life in a brand new adventure made up entirely by ... YOU! Join interactive story-maker Becci Books for a family-friendly journey into the woods.

Music of the Bees

Follow the buzz and the life of a bee as it swarms, builds its honeycomb and forages for food - then join in with the biggest waggle dance ever seen! Improvisation, dance, song, electronic dance music and quirky homemade inventions!

Exploring Radford Mill

Farm Walk

Go for a walk around Radford Mill Farm, discover the beautiful landscape and meet a number of animals on your way! (This is now free and self-guided so you can take the walk at any time during the weekend - we’ll have info on a suggested route you can take! Please note this is a working farm so all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times).

Circus Skills

Join our expert Circus skills coaches for two workshops later in the afternoon, including juggling, plate spinning, diabolo, poi, rolabola and acro ... you might also see them pop up looking somewhat taller than usual at various points in the day!

Run by the lovely Community Pottery CIC, hop along to one of our two morning clay-making sessions on Saturday to get a bit messy and help make a collective Wildlings creation!

Meet Siobhán & Rob, your creative Bristol duo, here to bring you printmaking magic and messy hands! Linoprinting without the scary carving - come and choose from a range of animal designs and colours to make your very own Linoprint ... we’re running two sessions on Saturday, so come and let your inner artist loose!

Family Singing in the Gardens

Two acapella family singing sessions popping up in the beautiful circle gardens during the day, led by the wonderful Pete Churchill (director of Birmingham’s Choir with No Name) and the incredible Bristol-based vocalist and educator Sara Colman.

Flatpack Colourbox Shorts

Imaginations set to full beam! Birmingham’s amazing Flatpack Festival have generously curated a series of weird and wonderful cinematic treats which will be showing on Sunday, from the sugary, ethereal vistas of The Sky Was Candy by Anh Tú Nguyen to the bioluminescent magic of Jessica M Fisher’s Glowberry.

Instrument Making

It’s like Blue Peter in a field! Come and make one of several different percussion instruments which you can use later in the afternoon for one of our singing sessions in the gardens. (Bring along any old sealable food pots you might have).

Wildlings is much more than music. Expect a full programme of hands-on creativity, outdoor discovery and family adventure throughout the weekend, with delicious fresh food and treats available throughout the day and evening from the team at Radford Mill Farm.

Following our Friday evening food and music, settle in for a film screening … bring your PJs! The perfect way to kick off the Wildlings weekend for our campers before a cosy bed time! Film TBC.
